Wether the we used meet the specifications? As a matter of fact, before we buy the club, even before the products are released, the golf clubs manufacturers have already submitted a sample to the USGA of every countries, to test whether the clubs meet the rules. If manufacturers failed to submit samples or don’t wait for the results before producing or promoting the golf clubs, they have to take the risk of violating the rules. For the purpose of reference for the record, the submitted samples will be kept by R&A Or USGA.

General speaking, we have to refer the Subsidiary Rules II of Rule 4. The following are several points of explainations.

1. The General Rule says that the clubs are designed to play with. Generally are divided according to the shape and funtions into three types: woods, irons and putters. Putter is designed for putting on the green, and its loft shall not exceed 10 degrees. Golf club mustn’t be made in essentially different structure from the traditional and customary form. Any Guys that know about Golf Clubs?

März 23, 2011

Question by ~i ♥ him.~: Any Guys that knowing about golf clubs?
Hi! I’ve latterly commenced looking for a Christmas, and anniversary present, for my beau and I was conceiving about perhaps getting him a set of golf club. We both worship to golf, and he commonly only borrows a set of my brother, because the nine he used to have stopped up getting stolen, so I thought that this would be an outstanding present for him! :) The merely situation is…I gentleman’t know which set is the better for the damage, or what circumference they would ask to be. He’s 6’2” and the just golf nine that I have were given to me by my parent year ago so I’m not truly certain what just to stare for as far as hands’s playing… I found a 15 portion put of the Callaway Top-Flite XL unity for $ 199.00, but I gentleman’t know if that’s full or not.Anything that you could say me would be extremely helpful! Also, do you believe this is a full present thought? I contemplated mayhap getting him something for his guitar, but I believe he has pretty much all he need for it, and I got him some athletics record earlier this twelvemonth as a completion present so I gentleman’t desire to get him that again. Thanks!

The Top-Flite XL set for $ 199.00 will get him started. It has all the clubs he would demand to play, and a carry bag as well. However, are these a very good teeth of clubs? Not necessarily. But, they will serve and perform fine for someone who is an occasional golfer. If he was very serious about the sport you could spend m of dollars on a primed of nice clubs, but if he simply enjoys the game and does not compete these will do just ticket. I think that this is a winner exhibiting idea seeing how he doesn’t have his own set. They will set him fine also, I wear’t know if you were concerned about him being pretty tall and necessitate to return longer clubs. All in all, its a great price for a nice starter set so you and him can enjoy the contest. I’d say go for it!

What specific golf clubs does a beginner need to play?I know you need a driver and a putter but what else?

Januar 24, 2011

Question by Terry: What specific golf clubs does a beginner need to play?I know you need a driver and a putter but what else?
I just ordered a driver on line and that is all I own. I’m going to practice driving at a virtual golf place until it gets warmer outside. I am an absolute beginner. What would be the minimum clubs I would need to actually play a round? I am an older (54) female so think the hybrids would be good for me. I am not actually looking for brand recommendations here, but club types. That said, the Callaway GES system sounds good to me because it apparently only has seven clubs which sounds about right to me but I am having trouble finding it. Does anyone know how I could replicate that buying individual clubs? I don’t really want a full set, at least not yet. And carrying 14 clubs around, many of which I probably wouldn’t use at least not soon, sounds like a waste of energy. So what is the minimum and what are they? Please be specific because a lot of what I have read is pretty confusing. So many choices! Thanks.

Answer by Wham
If your a beginner and don’t want to carry around all the clubs at first then I would recommend just getting the basic irons 3,5,7, and 9. I would also recommend a pitching wedge and also a fairway driver like a 3 or 5 wood to start with. After that if you feel comfortable then you could fill in the rest of your set.

Q&A: Does anyone know why there is an ‘R’ on Callaway golf clubs?

Dezember 13, 2010

Question by cb: Does anyone cognize why there is a ‘R’ on Callaway golf clubs?
On all of the callaway clubs that i’ve seen has a ‘R’ somewhere on the club. on the ’06 ample berthas its inside the number. and same with the x-18 and 20s. and on the fresh x-forged its on the nosel of the club. what does this ‘R’ intend?

Best answer:

Answer by Jani
I do not use Callaway clubs myself, but by average convention the ‘R’ stands for steady for the shaft of the club. Regular shafts are more exculpatory, as likened to the strong (S) shafts, which favours the pros and the arduous hitters
