In the golf swing, how can I get the golf club into a good position halfway back to the backswing?

I play golf with an in to out swing that has the golf club way behind halfway back, therefore resulting in the golf club across the line at the top of my backswing. What should I do?

hank haney has a simple drill: look in the mirror , just turn you left shoulder until its under you chin (assumming you’re right handed). Watch the pros , most , when adressing the ball bring the club back about three feet and repeat a few times before they unleash the fury . The back swing starts with the shoulder your arms should be straight and going back the right naturally(feel it?) tucks in , at the top the wrists hinge and then you can begin the decind
