    Equipment:

It is harder to find left handed equipment. Granted, there are a lot of left-handed clubs, but not every option is included. Some companies leave out certain loft or bounce options for wedges, lofts for drivers or fairwaywoods, or Tour (like the TaylorMade’s R9 TP) models of certain clubs. Bridgestone Golf doesn’t make one single golf club for lefties.

The “boutique” brand clubs and clubs that come in full sets are even harder to find in left-handed. It took me two years to find a full set when I first started out.

As a natural lefty, I would advise you to not do it. If you had the money to get fit for your clubs then get them tweaked exactly to your specs (especially if you’re outside “standard”) then go for it. Since it doesn’t sound like it, based on your details, it wouldn’t be worth it.

    Playability:
There really is no advantage to being a lefty. Most places have trouble on either side of the fairway. The ones that don’t shouldn’t be played- they wouldn’t be that well thought out to begin with, and probably lacking in other playing options (like bump-and-run vs. flop shot, or other risk/reward shots) that has nothing to do with what hand you are.

No one would know enough about your swing to screw it up with advice during a round.
