  1. old hippie Said,

Want more distance, change the degree of the club face. Almost all of the clubs you buy at discount store have a 10.5 degree face on them. Go to a 9.5 or 9. However, you should keep in mind that it will be more difficult to hit the ball straight.

Talk to the golf pro where you play and he’ll give you several options to choose from, like club head, shafts, shaft lenght, etc.

I wish there was an easier answer here, but get on a launch monitor or simulator and hit them all. If you don’t like the results, or aren’t sure, go to another store and do it there too. You’re almost sure to gain with a high quality club (all of the ones you mentioned would be considered at least good quality).

I personally prefer Cobra but not the new LD’s. I just don’t like them. Camilo Villegas seems to like them just fine though so, again, go find what works for you. Good luck.

No, it’s not. But get a shaft that best fits your swing, re-shaft any of those drivers you mentioned with that shaft and you will hit the ball as far as you can possibly hit it with any of those club heads. It’s all about the shaft pal.

  5. Spartan Golfer Said,

    I have a Callaway FT-5 and I love it.

I used to have a Hibore XL, but i sold it.

I actually like the Hibore more. Raw power, deadly accuracy. And, the #1 selling driver by far this year, everyone loves it.

I just swithced to the FT-5 Tour for more workability.

    burner no doubt

  7. joecon113 Said,

You’re not going to add 15-20 yards by simply buying a new driver. This is about your swing. If there was a magic driver out there everyone would have it. You need to work on developing your swing. Change the technique, your back swing, your approach angle, and your body mechanics. All these will have a positive impact on your swing speed which will ultimately increase your shot distance.
