Question by bwheezy55: Need a golfing experts opinion please?
i found a club that im in love with. A Callaway FT-i driver. I dont know what type of flex and what ype of loft to buy.

i can either buy a stiff flex or regular flex
and
a 9 degree loft or 10 degree loft

my club speed was around 96 or 97 when i tested the club at dicks and im pretty sure it was a regular flex,

Any golf expert opinions and advice would be great and much appreciated thanks in advance

i will need a few more info before i can tell you exactly what you will need like do you hook or slice the ball off the tee more what driver do you use now and etc from your swing speed alone you cant tell your shaft flex you need ball speed clubhead speed etc etc if you have the info you can email me at anubus143@yahoo.com or if you dont just give me the general idea of what you use now and your shart shape and i will help you out

What do you think? Answer now!

  1. Jason G Said,

If you have a strong upper body go for the stiff flex. If not, get the regular flex.

  2. Luis M. Said,

swing speed and clubhead speed are the same thing….lol, and yes,if that information is right, you can tell what flex you need….at 100 mph you need a stiff flex…upper body strength has nothing to do with how far you hit the ball lol…im 5-7 115lbs and can swing a driver about 110mph…i carry about 250yrds and i use a stiff flex with an active tip…

I’d say the R flex, but not so sure on the loft. Get a fitting- they offer it there. That way, there will be no doubt as to what is the optimal loft/flex (be sure to get the length fitted, as well!) measurements for you.
