golf irons recommended?

Oktober 13, 2011

Question by FOMAYZ: golf irons recommended?
Well i got grades, and my dad said i could get a new set of irons. Ive been playing for 3 months and i can hit it straight, not far, but stright. About- 100-150 with my current irons. I was looking at the callaway X seies. Which should i get? X 20 tour, X tour, x forged, or x 20′s. Im getting them used to cause theyre much cheeper.

Which club is easiest to hit? and gos far and stright.

What about mizunos ? they any good? and if so, which would u recomend?

  1. marist34 Said,

If you’ve only been playing for 3 months i don’t reccomend spending a fortune on new irons. Instead of the x-20′s you could go with the x-18′s and save money without sacraficing performance. I currently own the x-18′s and have loved them from the day I bought them.

  2. Nara Said,

try the 2004 Big Berthas, or the X-16 or X-18
http://www.globalgolf.com has a great selection of used clubs.

Here’s a second vote on Global Golf for good used clubs, worth a look if that’s the route you’re going to go.

Might want to check out Rock Bottom Golf too, they only have new clubs but at some really great prices.

Congratulations on achieving your reward. For someone with your golf experience I would recommend the X20s. The tour models, forged, and the Mizunos will be too difficult for you to hit right now although in a few years you might move up to them.
